Matt Clark
Design Concepts for DELs in Drug Discovery @X-Chem
Matt joined X-Chem in 2010 and has served as VP of Chemistry and SVP of Research. Before coming to XChem, Matt was Director of Chemistry at Praecis Pharmaceuticals, where he played a key role in the early development and implementation of the DNA-encoded library (DEL) platform. Praecis was acquired in 2007 by GlaxoSmithKline, where he led a group responsible for design and synthesis of DNA-encoded chemical libraries. Matt has helped X-Chem become the recognized leader in DEL technology. A thought leader in the DEL space, he has numerous patents and key DEL publications to his name. Matt received his B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of California, San Diego, and his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Cornell University. He conducted post-doctoral studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
