Naomi Halas
Stanley C. Moore Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Professor of Biomedical Engineering, Professor of Chemistry, @Rice University
Prof. Halas pursues fundamental studies of coupled plasmonic systems as well as applications of plasmonics in biomedicine, optoelectronics, chemical sensing, photocatalysis, and most recently in solar energy and sustainability. She is a Nano Letters Associate Editor as well as an Editorial Advisory Board member of four additional journals.
Tao Zhang
Professor and Vice President @Chinese Academy of Sciences
Professor Zhang’s research interests are focused on the design and synthesis of nano- and subnanometer catalyst materials that have been widely applied in gas purification and micro-propulsion systems in China. More recently, he further extended his research to the catalytic conversion of biomass and developed a new reaction process from cellulose to ethylene glycol.
Chong Liu
Assistant Professor of Chemistry @University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA)
Asst. Prof. Liu's research group is an inorganic chemistry lab with specific interests in electrochemical systems for energy, biology, and environments, aiming to address some of the challenging questions in catalysis, energy conversion, CO2/N2 fixation, and microbiota. Their research focus includes advanced bioelectrochemical systems of CO2/N2 fixation as well as electrochemical nanodevices enabling the study of biological, medical, environmental applications.
